So you want to work from home ? Well, we have news for you – you can! It won’t be easy, but it is possible. This article is aimed towards those who have a passion for health and wellness. This is really one of those situations where you can do what you love for a living.
So if you find yourself constantly working out, developing new workouts, coaching others to lose weight, and making meal plans for people, you may be the perfect candidate to be a health coach. If you’re considering taking the leap of faith, check out what steps you can take to have your dream job as a full-time health coach.
Start with yourself
Here’s the thing about being a health coach – it usually starts with you! You don’t have to be the most fit or health conscious person yourself, BUT you should practice what you preach. Did you have a total body transformation? Did you complete in a physique competition? Perhaps you lost over 100 pounds? Well, if you went on a fitness journey, you can share your diet and lifestyle tips with others who are trying to do the very same. You can be the motivation for someone else!
Create a website with a blog
The next thing you want to do is create a website with a blog. You will want to post your own personal journey, and a blog with daily work outs and meal tips. This will keep readers engaged and the more of a community you build, the more popular you will be. This also means that you can start to be a personal health coach for a larger amount of people, which ultimately means you can likely quit your full-time job and work as a health coach!
Learn new workouts
A health coach is always finding new work out and developing work outs for each individual’s specific needs. Health coaches are usually always experimenting new ways to work out too, weather it be outside, with random object, on the beach, at the park, in a hotel gym, etc. It is your job to create as many new and unique workouts and you can!
Create meal plans
Along with new workouts, meal planning is really one of the most important parts of being a health coach. As important as working out is, you won’t see any bit of difference in your body if you’re eating poorly – even if you’re working out all the time. So, creating meal plans is very important! You should be able to calculate just how many calories an individual will need to consume in their daily meals to achieve their long-term fitness goals. This time time and research!
Build a community
Last, but not least, build your community! On social media, at your local gym, you should be constantly talking to people about who you are, what you do, and how you can help people reach their health and fitness goals. Your community is what will allow you to grow in your career as a health coach.
